A Great Day in AustinAugust 7, 5 p.m. MusicMania!

In the tradition of the classic jazz musician portrait, A Great Day in Harlem, my homegirl Lolo aka YellaStudNDaSouth, Staci Russell, Game 101 DVD Magazine and all of Austin present a very special event Friday August 7th at 5 p.m. in the parking lot of MusicMania.

Basically everyone involved in Austin's hip-hop scene will gather for a monumental photo, documenting this burgeoning scene outside one of it's main, and longest lived music outlets. The whol ething will be documented by Game 101 DVD Magazine, and the event will also act as a toy/school supply drive for the hood.

Well here, lemme let Lolo tell you:

"IT'S OFFICIAL...Friday AUG 7TH GAME 101 Presents: A Great Day In Austin . Staci will be doing a sort of Christmas in July Toy Drive earlier during the day for children in the hood.We will be visiting different hoods and delivering gifts to the kids.

ANY ARTISTS PARTICIPATING IN THE PHOTO NEED TO BRING EITHER A TOY OR SOME SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR THE KIDS. WE ALSO NEED PEOPLE TO HELP DISTRIBUTE THE STUFF.

From 5-7 all the artists will be meeting at Music Mania between 5-7 for interviews and at 7PM a classic photo of all Austin ARTISTS AND PEOPLE THAT HAVE HELPED AUSTIN DO WHUT IT DOES FOR THE MUSIC FOR THIS CITY.

Friday Night:Mixtape/DVD Release Party for Staci Russell @ Club Illusions.. ITS GOING DOWN!!!!GAME 101 WILL BE FILMING ALL OF THE EVENTS AND CONDUCTING INTERVIEWS ALL THROUGH OUT THE DAY/NIGHT!!! MARK THIS DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR NOW!!!
