RIP MICHAEL JACKSON
My Week Thus Far
Bun B Footage of Dizzee Rascal at Glastonbury

Michael Jackson Rest In Peace.

DOWNLOAD DJ JAYCEE PRESENTS MICHAEL JACKSON - The Soulful Years

I know there's more mixes out there, send 'em on to me. DJ Ayres had posted one but the link expired, RE POST!

Also this is one of the realest songs ever.

And I mean, once again this young death has me contemplating life, and how much I treasure my family and friends...

My kids Elena and Eva seen here at Barton Springs with Johan Hugo

Anyway last week we had plenny goin' down here in the city. Freakin' heat had a lot of us stifled and stuck to our couches (believe me, I considered it). Heading tot he Mohawk on Thursday evening, the sign on the side of I-35 said it was 91 degrees at 10:00 p.m. And it didn't really let up all night.

Had to go down there and catch that 2 Live Crew show though, really just out of curiosity. XRabit & DMG$ opened. I think, as all I ever heard yelled was DMG.

They got that shit started and even did a version of "Get It Girl," which I found funny at a 2 Live Crew show. 2 Live Crew did not do "Get It Girl."

But they got the young girls dancing.

No Luke, no Mr. Mixx, but they did have this man, AUSTIN LEGEND BABY LUKE in the place with the silly string. How many of my readers remember this mans records?

You know, yeah it really went down.

Ann and Erin were in the place

Audra in the place!

With that boy Russell

James Dean, Swift and friends!

Anyway then we also went out Friday night. Three nights of going out in a weeks time, yeah, the old grey mare he ain't what he used to be. But I also wasn't the passed out on the table in the bar after this show last night...

Terry Lynn - new dancehall vocalist from Jamaica, and our boy Johan Hugo, from Radioclit/The Very Best, threw down at this special Red Stripe promotional event. Free Red Stripes all night and great mutant reggae music.

I say mutant cuz Johan is taking it in all sorts of different directions.

Yeah so it really went down. I was carrying someone like 20 minutes after this point, so I didn't get any more photos. Missed Grimy Styles too. ANYWAY MORE SOON. Holler after that USA - BRAZIL Game tomorrow. I am predicting an UPSET!

Also earlier today Bun B performed at Glastonbury in the UK (Word to the JOHN PEEL STAGE!) with Dizzee Rascal. He filmed some footage with his phone and here it is. First the intro to the show - the crowd is bananas - then the intro to Bonkers.

Anyway, obviously it went down. If anyone has footage of Bun on stage, I have got to see it!

And oh shit here's him and Semtex and Scope doing Bonkers, surely from the BBC.

Iran Needs Your Help: TarantisT

We all know this. We've all been watching the news, but here's a lil something that might hit a lil closer to home. Read on.

To: tarantists@tarantists.com

Subject: Need Help

Iran's government has beaten one of our band members badly in
Iran so he can't walk, also they threw tear gas to the basement
the guys were practicing. Evrybody now is in danger [like all
the people in the country].

We need to save them as soon as possible, So we are asking for
help to be able to afford their costs and bring them here as
soon as possible.

People can help by buying our songs/album on iTunes [our songs
as compensation for your favours while you may don't like them]
or donate us on our Paypal account. Would you please spread this
word to the world and to the people or organizations that may
help?

Meanwhile other Iranian bands are in touch with us and they say
that they are hidding all the time since Government is arresting
dissidents and musicians. We want to help the other bands, too.
But we need help, can't do anything alone.

We really would be thankful.

Your Iranian brothers,
TarantisT

Sunday Night at The Mohawk - RELIGIOUS GIRLS + OUR BROTHER THE NATIVE!

Sunday night y'all, it's really goin' down. I ain't never lied at ya. Real talk you got to hit this one. Gonna be crazy. Inside and such, they gonna blow that roof right off. Then I'll have nowhere to sit, at the big shows. Anyhoo...

Sunday June 28th 10 p.m. - Mohawk Inside
Our Brother the Native
Religious Girls
Harlem
Fires were Shot

Religious Girls is a diverse group of multi-instrumentalists, with each member hailing from separate musical backgrounds that ranges from metal to noise to math rock and pop. Using their talents, Religious Girls focus thier energy into creating beautiful harmonies and layering them over intricate percussive ryhthms. Prefering to play on the floor near listeners rather than a distant stage, they feel that no matter how high of quality a recording may be the live set is what moves people, and therefore focus on creating intimacy with the crowd. Collectively, the band has tried to push aside the standards of popular song writing with non-repeating structures, an intricate mathmatical style, and a carefully laid out set in which all songs are interweaved into one. Religious Girls offers an intense and dramatic set, leaving viewers in awe by the end of the performance.

2 Live Crew at The Mohawk Tonight!

Ohhhh the spectacle that is 2 Live Crew. I'd talk about some of the times I saw this group in Houston, in north side clubs, and some of the things that happened on stage at said north side clubs, but um, I don't want to scare the Mohawk and I surely don't want to alert the police. I have a feeling WE'RE IN FOR IT. So come down mayne. XRabit & DMG open up and well it's goin' down. I'll be out there sippin' a Lone Star pon di roof.

Friday July 10th - I Play More Rock Musics For You

Not sure why this keeps happening. I think I invite it upon myself. But yeah, Friday night, July 10th, the Anti-Nowhere League plays the patio stage at Red 7, and me and Richard Henry are gonna DJ inside. Musics that should fairly well fit the evening I hope.

Another fine week!

OK We're gonna go backwards today.

First of all I don't know why I didn't take any pictures on Fathers Day, but suffice it to say IT WENT DOWN. Thanks to my family and all the wonderful well wishers and such. It's been quite a week. Bizzy Bone and B-Real this past Thursday, Santigold in Houston Wednesday. And the Frio River the weekend before. Photos to prove that all of this happened appear below.

Legends Live at The Mohawk.

Bizzy Bone ran through all the hits. Some people said he rapped over his vocals, and he certainly rapped over other peoples vocals, but I didn't think he was doing that on everything.

Honestly the dude had a pretty good show. All the Bone classics and he just ran through it like hell.

Lookin' like that the whole time and shit.

B-Real of Cypress HILLLLLLL!

They shoulda told the people Sick Jacken was coming, was a nice surprise though.

THEY ALSO SHOULDA LET THE PEOPLE KNOW JULIO G WAS GONNA BE ON THE WHEELS! He shoulda DJed all night. That's a legendary DJ right there man.

MY DUDE!

My girl Lolo of course.

My girl Laura of course, in the wind.

Richard Henry and Dubb Sicks in the PLACE!

Alright so the night before I was in Houston seeing my bro right here.

And also Santigold in concert. And also Trouble Andrew but they done put Amanda Blank on too early.

So whatever, show was o.k. I am not really tripping to be real with you, but the crowd sort of was. The after party was a bit of a stoned blur for me, but yeah, it went down.

Herb, Jagi and T-Gray!!!!

DJ Gracie Chavez!

My dude Craig and Trouble Andrew, professional snowboarder, and he opened for Santiogold, and supposedly they are getting MARRIED!

Here's my girl Tish and my bro of bro'z Jackson! Jackson lives in Beiruit right now as a reporter and just happened to be in Houston this week with his family. Convinced him to come out for a drink and to catch up. MY DUDE!

and yeah, that's me in a fresh Blac Monks t-shirt. I mean an old one. Rumor is they are back together working on new material. BUDDHA NATURE!

And then yeah, the weekend before we were out in Concan, Texas at Neal's Lodges off the Frio River. 105 degrees every day. The river was low, but moving a bit. We swam, we dove, we got some sort of stomach bacteria or some shit. But whatever it was awesome. This is OUR SPOT.

John Lomax and the kids found this hog skull...

Hattie!

Eva goes a lil nuts out here

Don't know what it is

We swam like 7 hours a day

Played with rocks

and such

Wendy and Andy parents of

Astra. You had to eat popsicles reeeeeaally fast out there. I swear, 105 degrees!

And then we hadda go down the road a piece.

To the spot.

Yes, it says Liquor and Guns. The spot.

Then we had MAD RIBS!

My young homie FISHER!

And Eva.

Pretty much went off on the last night.

Can't stop, won't stop.

Melissa haze...

Not sure why I took this photo. I think it was the river bacteria. I mean seriously, look at my eyes. That wasn't from what you think it's from. That's like some survivorman of the river type shit.

Anyway, yeah, it went down. See you at 2 Live Crew Thursday? MOHAWK ONCE AGAIN IT GOES DOWN!

Red Bull X-Fighters Comes to Fort Worth Again!

Oh man seriously, this is so exciting to me. I mean, I am not a huge freestyle motocross fanatic, but last year, the good folks at Red Bull hooked me up with some VIP Passes to the first X-Fighters event ever in Texas, and well, my wife didn't want to go, so me and my daughter Eva, who had just turned 6 years old, made the drive to Fort Worth and let me tell you this, we got hooked on this stuff. Seriously, it's a special event. Happens all over the world, and honestly I didn't expect it to come back to Texas, but it is! At the Fort Worth Stockyards, next weekend, June 27th. I think we may have to make the trek once again.

CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE OFFICIAL RED BULL X-FIGHTERS SITE.

I mean seriously, go to that site. It's a lot of fun. Lots of footage and cool stuff to check out. This is coming from a dude who really shouldn't care. But when you see these dudes go flying through the air, I mean, it's quite a spectacle. And then when you take your lil munchkin with you and see how geeked he or she gets, well, it's just so fun.

ANYHOO!

Here's a few videos from last years event. I am gonna figure out how to get my ass up there this year and this time I'M BRINGING ELENA TOO! Possibly the whole fam, but um yeah, I feel like a big dork, but I don't want to miss this. Plus Fort Worth is cool. People ride horses down to the bar and tie 'em up outside. So crazy...

This is the promo video for last year I don't see one for this year that I can embed.

And here's some photos I took last year...

Anyway yeah Metroplex, I may come see y'all next weekend. We shall see. The Embassy Suites has a salt water pool and well, whatever. I'ma ride me a horse to the bar.

I keep telling y'all...
Austin Texas is Hip-Hop City
AustinSurreal.com endorsed events this week!

MAN HOLD UP! I am sayin', I keep sayin', Austin, Texas has more rap shows than any city I have ever lived in, including New York. I mean seriously, I don't promote all the shows in town on here, cuz there's simply not enough time. But when shows come up that really catch my eye, I'ma make sure and let you know. This weekend is looking pretty insane (Not to mention the Bun B and Friends show happening in Houston on Saturday at Warehouse Live. I don't know how much I can tell you on this here blog here, but um, one of the friends is a dude that is on the radio 24/7 at the moment that the young folks just LOVE, 2 of the dudes are a couple of the best performers in hip-hop, a bunch of the dudes are Houston's finest, and a couple others will just throw you for a Lupe, I mean, loop. So yeah, I suggest being in Houston Saturday night and going to Warehouse Live. BUN B IS DOING IT HUGE!)

Anyway, this is about Austin. Check this shit out. Thursday night at Mohawk - Bizzy Bone and B-Real. Friday night at Club 8ball - Project Pat. Next Thursday night at Mohawk - 2 Live Crew and DMG & X-Rabit or however you spell that shit.

Anyway man, here's the flyers, I suggest you get tix in advance for all of these cuz it's gonna get crazy.

Bizzy Bone & B-Real!

Project Pat + Staci Russell + MORE!

What We Do On A Summer Night

Well almost summer, and a week past the school year so we can stay out late, go to bars whatever. Yeah, me, Eva and Elena going out to hear some music and see some sports. Tonight we hit the Sonic Youth listening happy hour party presented by Waterloo Records and The Austinist at The Mohawk. Then on to the SXSW vs. The New Brohemians softball game, with a stop at Hoboken Pizza in the middle right there. And here's some photos to prove it.

First and foremost it has to be said that FREE WILLIE D is a MOVEMENT and needs to be respected as such. It has already hit the bathroom of The Mohawk hard and I expect it to spread all over the world. This is real.

I mean you see it right there in front of your own eyes, it's a movement. Get down with it.

Stacey, Elena, Eva and Amy in the VIP of the big Sonic Youth listening party

Gerard Cosloy DJed and done killed it.

Christina Carter hath returned to Austin and was at the helm of the merch booth where they were selling said new Sonic Youth album on vinyl and CD. Well, I got the CD for Eva (and Crite stole a poster off the wall for her) and we are jammin' RIGHT NOW.

I caught Lizzy a little bit off guard.

There was a dog in the venue.

Crite and Bavu Blakes!

Brandon and Carrie!

Real partiers

Emo Eva

Elena believes she can fly

ANyway the party at the Mohawk was over the top, just really goin' down, but we decided to role down Red River a piece and get some Hoboken Pizza, then head over tot he SXSW Softball game against a team called something something something New Brohemians. THey won I guess, but I'll say my peopl gave it a good try and there were some real faulty calls. OK!

They were not tripping.

THE TEAM!

Erin on deck

The boy DK on deck

Stacey in the bleachers

As was Jill

As was my Austin dude of all dudes!

And as was Sara Kempton, on the enemy team but no one was even tripping.

And I told you, FREE WILLIE D IS A MOVEMENT!

My bro Snap on RappersIKnow.com

Man seriously if you have followed HoustonSoReal and AustinSurreal at all in the past years and have not been following RappersIKnow.com you are only getting half the story.

This week the man FWMJ profiles my boy Snap and drops samples from his new mixtape. Seriously man, I been watching Snap and his crew, now known as The Niyat since 1991 at the Hip-Hop Coffee Shop. Maybe even before that, not sure, but man this dude goes hard and has been going hard.

Matter of fact I ben jammin' this dude since his first group (?) Poetic Souls with GT back in the early 90's. Their 12" "Too Much TV" is a classic to me and last year went for an insane amount of money on Ebay.

He's one of those unheralded extreme lyricists who may be a bit over the heads of the masses, but should certainly not be ignored. I have a burn of the Niyat album, or an early version of it and I am telling you these dudes are the lyrical shit. Not sure why almost none of them have ever had a proper release, ever. It's a shame mayne, but they do not quit and I feel real lucky to know them and be able to hear their genius over and over again for what, um, yeah, 18 years dude. Shit, it's proof that there is just no reason to quit doing what you love. Such things keep your soul alive, also mine.

Anyways, CLICK HERE TO EXPERIENCE THE REALEST POST CURRENTLY ON THE INTERNET!

Download the mixtape you whilst not be sorry.

The main question should be, bottom line, "Is it dope?"

Gone off that Natty Boh in Baltimore...

Aw man I feel like I done jumped back on the proverbial saddle and I'm riding straight into a sunset that never ends. Really, I'm serious. It's been some time since I have gone out and did some reporting for Murder Dog Magazine, and the only reason that is is because I have kids now and well, it ain't easy to raise kids on a hip-hop journalists salary (I hate that title cuz most folks who write about hip-hop are NOT journalists. I actually am not really a journalist either but...).

Anyway back in the day I used to cover all sorts of cities and their scenes for Murder Dog. I went all over the U.S. and took photos of and did interviews with rappers from big to small in cities from big to small. I shot photos of Rick Ross and T-Pain in Miami in 2002. Chatted with Crips in Minneapolis (also Bloods) and spent a shit load of time on the West Side of Chicago and in Gary, IN. I had the time of my life going all those places and meeting all those people, but alas and alak, reality states that we gots to make that money.

Anyway, recently I realized that Murder Dog Magazine and Black Dog Bone and Mary Downs are really important to me and my life, and well, decided that I really need to get back into this shit. First assignment: BALTIMORE!

Where this dude seemed to float in the sky and follow me EVERYWHERE!

And this news struck me as peculiar. Why does this have to be announced upon my arrival?

But then on Friday the paper said that Detroit is the actual murder capital so I felt better about everything. Baltimore is a pretty dynamic city. They have their own musical sound - Baltimore Club - their own cuisines, accent, um, I'm telling you man, Baltimore, like Detroit, is an amazing city, but no, it is not without it's problems.

I find that most cities that I really like and feel really good in, have really deep problems. For example, I also really love going to Detroit.

Anyway. Packed up and rolled out of Austin at 7 am Wednesday and met up with the homey Puja Patel aka @senari on the Tweeter and hit the streets. Puja does parties and works with Unruly Records a bit out there in B'more and she basically showed me the city and hooked me up with everyone.

And drank a lot, like me. I mean seriously look at the shit she was Tweeting:

At @adamgonzo is slaying it. Book him you knownahthinhipomfers

Tripping off this bmore club shit and I be own dat kryptonite and ecstacies abd nerd the fuk oiut atdiplo

@djam I been down wit u since crazytown video done cum ouyt on da box

@diplo yo me and iamdiddy fin dio a remix fo real I aibt neva lied daw I git them in

Mattsoreal @puShermania done haxed me again (this is a LIE)

@senari shut up puja. U is trizzipin and ocd

@senari remember first time I smoked dust and wass like shit know hiw I tslm bout wwwManarky¤cum say ay blue oysta culttttt

@senari thye cannot play wit me cuz I thiwed iff

@senari yo real talk hoe we gone off tekillya like a bitch I luv america abd asher. Roth so tite bmore rmx

@senari: I am up in thus bitch bitches I will fuck u the fuck up

I am up in thus bitch bitches I will fuck u the fuck up

I mean seriously fucking trippin'. Anyway yeah, so I took a shit load of photos. Hit up tons of rappers and DJ's and such. But I can't post a lot of them till I see what Murder Dog wants to use. So here's some outtakes.

Cullen Stalin, down with Mad Decent of course, came to the club and chilled with us for a bit.

Chipset, Puja and Alex in the HOUSE!

Adam Gonzo killin' it on them tables.

Chipset and Emily Rabbit, our hostess for the evening. Great club night you got there Emily.

And this here is EMily's laptop. Not sure why I took this. Maybe it was the Natty Boh.

The DJ was playing Afroman when I took this picture.

Oh shit and there he is again. I TOLD YOU!

So I should have taken way more random shots of buildings and shit, but I didn't. Was driving in the rain and it was kinda intense.

Baltimore City Hall.

I woulda stayed here but there was no parking.

This is Roxzi of The Get 'Em Mami's. They have a couple songs on The WIre and are reeeaally a lot of fun. Their style is Pop Rocks and Soda. Anyway, check 'em out and you will see what that means.

We actually broke into a tunnel to take their photos. Not kidding.

Possibly exagerating but not kidding.

DJ Excel and DJ Booman are really putting it down for their city. Peep out BmoreOriginal.com for exclusive radio shows and all that. You can hear and learn a lot about Baltimore music on this site real talk.

DJ Excel, Mullyman and Booman down ta Fell's Point outside Soundgarden Records. You should be so lucky to have a record store like this in your city.

The crew with Puja of course.

Then we hooked up with Bossman, I actually used to play some of his joints on Damage Control. Lookout for him on Myspace Records!

See!

Then that night we hit another bar where the DJ's were playing all sorts of electro weird out shit. We walked in the rain literally all day so basicaly just sat there while the people we knew danced and such. But yeah, might have had some drinks.

And oh yeah of course we linked with the legend SCOTTIE B! The man Puja refers to as "The best DJ in the world." He is way up there, no doubt.

Best fuckin' interview too hands down.

Anyway man I am itching to post more photos, but they belong to Murder Dog and said magazine will be out next month. I'd write more but I gots to start transcribing said interviews.

Side note tho, I do love me some Natty Boh, no doubt, but I picked up Puja to take her to the train station on Friday and we stopped to eat by said train station that also happened to be next to a liquor store and well, THEY HAD YUENGLING IN CANS! So I loaded them in my suitcase, in the rain, and now I have 24 Yuenglings in my fridge! Well, 16 or so now. ANYHOO!

STOP FOLLOWING ME DUDE THIS AIN'T TWEETER!

Thursday, June 4, 2009

Oh Lord, Another interview with Me!

Hahahaha, LOL, LMAO, naw man actually I think it's pretty good. Why people want to talk to me, I have no idea, cuz I tend to ramble. But yeah, it's a dope podcast, Josh Shepherd does it every week. Peep the link below and lemme know what you think!

AUSTIN Speaks on the Tragic Shooting Outside Spiro's Last Week

THIS IS CENTRAL TEXAS HIP-HOP!

It's bigger than hip-hop.

It's bigger than Austin.

It's bigger than a few lost souls shooting up a crowd.

It's bigger than you're hatred for humanity.

It's bigger than anything you can imagine. It's art and it's real. We have ups and we have downs and we have art. All different things.

Anyway, Crew 54 once again puts it down. The good and the bad. A report from the PEOPLE regarding the shooting outside Spiro's last week and then some really nice footage of the D-Madness going away party and Anthony David at The Parish. Thanks Crew 54...

Read this article: Joe Gross on David Williams

Lots of things I did not know, so I assume that means you did not either cuz man, I am a bit floored!

CLICK HEAR TO READ ABOUT DAVID WILLIAMS - An unheralded musical legend.

Come to find out he's like my cousin in this music game. Word to Jeff Liles (why is Jeff Liles not on Twitter?)

Mr. Lif live at Red 7 in Austin TONIGHT!!!

Man, one of the most poignant and relevant and firey MC's in the game hit's Red7 tonight. You gone be there? Sounds like a winner to me!

Pachanga Festival!!!

Oh man, I tend to say this a lot, though it's been about a while since I've really said it, but suffice it to say, IT WENT DOWN! Pachanga Fest 2009 a great success and loads of fun. Word to everyone involved man. I can't really even think what could have topped this years line up. It was fresh, diverse, real, etc. From Norteno to Rock N Roll to Kids Music to Electro Cumbia madness, Pachanga Fest was one for the record books.

And Fiesta Garden's is a beautiful place to hold an event, here's the pics and a lil report.

Los Bad Apples kicked off the day for us musically. Eva and I snuck out of the house while Melissa and Elena napped and hit the fest a lil early.

What a party.

Is Zeale 32 in every funky band in Austin or what? Well, he's in this one and Boombox, I know that, and he always adds serious energy to any show.

I don't know if he ever stops rapping.

OK So it wasn't too long before Elena made it down and we hit the Pop-So-Cool stand.

As evidenced by these photos.

Brynn also made it out YAY!

The set I really wanted to see was Ocote Soul Sounds. The duo of Adrian Quesada (Grupo Fantasma/Brownout) and Martin Perna (Antibalas) enhanced by a band, MAN COME ON NOW!

Adrian Quesada

Martin playing a donkey jaw. They said from the stage that they had a few copies of their new CD for sale and that it would be in stores in a few weeks or something. I should have been more diligent in finding a copy after their set. But alas...

Yeah so....

It really went down.

Brynn was feelin' it.

Super journalist and realest dude ever Davey D was in the place! Seen here with Bavu Blakes and Terell Shahid

Richard Henry and Brandon in the place.

Gringos... I had this chicken burrito thing that blew my mind.

Set #2 for ol' Adrian Quesada. Brownout of course ripped the set!

As evidenced by the sweat on Adrian's brow, and everyplace else.

Headliners of the night Mexican Institute of Sound put on one of the most engaging and hilariously fun sets I have seen in a long time.

CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMBIA!

Had to check out the main stage though for some Norteno Action! Lookit these dudes! Michael Salgado! Killin' it.

I am not even trippin' I wish I could have seen both MIS and Salgado's sets in full but it is what it is and man, what a night!

Had to go back to the party though. I have been following Camilo and his music for some time now. Never got to see him live.

The crowd was reallynot even trippinG.

So yeah man, word to Bud Light Lime. I never thought I would ever put one of those up to my lips ever, but man, it's kind of refreshing. Now yeah, I'd rather have me a Dos Equis or a Negra Modelo with real lime, but shit, Bud Light Lime is pretty good on a summers day. And probably got me less wasted than those other beers would have.

So then Sunday we got up, possibly a little hung over, but no worries, and went and met some old friends at the Nutty Brown Cafe. If you have never had Sunday brunch atthis spot you are missing out. Just a few miles west of Austin, out 290 towards Johnson City, this is the spot you always pass with the neon cowboy sign out front (If you live out here, you have seen this). The restaurant is really great, but in the back they have this huge concert ampitheater with a festival style stage. They bring big Hill Country type names out there on weekend nights, and serve country style food, and more all day.

The buffet has everything expected in normal breakfast fare, including some pretty top notch migas, and then they have like, Chicken Cordon Bleu, um, some sort of Garlic Pork Chops, their Monte Cristos will keep me coming back many times a year, um, yeah man, it's really real out there. And the Java Jazz Band I think it was, played in the background the whole time. And they have huge parrots.

Anyway this is Libra (You may remember her from Big Brother 10), Fallon and Scott. I have been friends with Scott since 1992 I think. We moved to New York together in 1994, and now we are both back in Texas raising families like how it is supposed to be.

Eva is ready to start driving any day now. Like her daddy, she is quite restless.

THE GIRLS!

Melissa and Libra the big reality TV star. She wouldn't give us any damn Big Brother secrets or inside info though. Fuckin'... never mind, I'm not gonna talk about no TV shit. But I will say it was kinda hard watching her and her housemates fight and lose their minds on that damn show. Also, it was kind of fun, but man, I never want to watch a show 3 times a week again. Note to all my friends, please don't get on a reality TV show. I hate TV. But you know, I'll watch.

Then there's me and Scott. Oh yeah, hip-hop history lesson. When I left New York at the end of 1994, Scott and company opened Makin' Records in what used to be my bedroom. They released records by Natural Resource (Jean Grae aka What What, Ocean and Aggie), Pumpkinhead, Scavone, Bad Seed and more. UTD, Group Home, Mos Def, all them used to be up in our crib um, sparkin' L's as they say. I don't know man, those were really some times for me. Anyway, it's off to work I goooo....

CUZ IT CAN'T BE MUSIC FESTIVAL MONTE CRISTO EATING TIME ALL DAY EVERY DAY NOW CAN IT?

No, obviously it can't.
