It's Our Anniversary

Alright it's the 19th anniversary of the first show I ever put on and promoted. April 9th, 1989, me, my boy Mike and my boy Rich brought Laughing Hyenas, Knifedance and Lost to the Continental Ballroom in Erie, Pennsylvania. I was 17 years old and caught the fever right then. I'll try to write the full story later, or maybe I'll wait till the 20th anniversary next year.

If any of my old school friends from Erie are reading this and have copies of the flyers please send me the jpgs. All my stuff is in storage.

Anyway, it's a big day.

hey! it's schuschu! skanker, dangerous stage diver and one time member of the caravan posse...west b park posse sucks! heee heee haaa! remember that goofy shit? i stumbled on to your blog by accident! how crazy is that? i am seriously violating company policy by surfing around but if i get fired it will be worth it! i have wondered how your life's been over the years and i'm glad to see you're doing what you were meant to do! congrats on the anniversary! those were great days! you brought something to that little place we all desperately needed...a reason to get up on saturday and a place to go that made sense because for most of us, nothing else did. you opened many doors for many people...not to mention the whole local scene entirely! the only one i knew at that age with that level of fearless determination. you made things happen. remember reading jello's "fuck facts" in school and the hanging out making prank calls and driving around in the caravan? yeah, it was cool and we had alot of fun. sad about danny. crazy sad. anyway, i could go on for days but i'll just say thanks for being cool and take care! - sandi
