I'm not feeling like much of a blogger these days

But I mean, the blog exists, two blogs exist, I exist, therefore I am. I suppose.

Thing is, I've got this new job, working full time at SXSW (or is that fool time, I don't know, it's been a while since I've had a job. Not all up on the terms and such), and last week I'd literally go in at 10 a.m. and go home round about midnight, maybe 1:30 a.m., I think last Wednesday I got home at 10:45 p.m. So that doesn't leave me much time to write, or much energy to get excited to go out, listen to music, see live music, drink in bars that aren't in close proximity to either my temporary house or work, etc. So what's to write about?

Super Tuesday maybe? Last week, or two weeks ago, I don't know, Bavu Blakes contributed an op-ed of sorts on Obama that I felt and continue to feel. I have to say that if I had to vote (and I don't cuz this here is America and we can choose to ignore all these devils if we want, and most of us do obviously) right now I guess Obama would be my candidate. Possibly Ron Paul I guess, but really I supported Kucinich because he's the only candidate that really talks about peace. Ron Paul wants a fence across Mexico. I just can't accept that. That ain't peace, God. Obama probably does too. I honestly don't know.

Don't get me wrong, I almost voted for Giuliani simply because he promised to take us to Mars and you know, with all the starving people in the world, all the guns in the streets, the drugs in the meats, the psychos in the cop cars, the Satanists in the White House and the Capitol buildings and the board rooms across the nation, the poison in the water, the fires in the trees, the tsunamis on the islands, the maddening lack of Sabbath's in the Park's, the 500 channels on my TV with nothing worth seeing, the radio station in Austin (96.3 FM) that think's it's o.k. to make Anti-Jewish statements all day, the blizzards, the crime, the pestilence, the fear, the pain, the fear of pain, the UFC on Spike TV, the UFO's in Northern Texas, another New York team winning something in our thoroughly rigged professional sports world, the lack of health care in the richest western nation with the weakest dollars by comparison, and oh yeah the war in the middle east that could last 100 MORE years if John McCain gets elected, well, Mars might be the only logical choice. Sign me up Rudy, lets smoke them Martians out of their holes and start anew.

This is what happens when I don't write for a while.

All that being said, I'm not the most political dude in the world. I know what I want (no war, health care, less government sponsored terror and a trip to Mars), but I have no idea how to get that. I don't agree totally with much of anyone and don't honestly feel a whole lot of hope for all this "change" people keep talking about.

Every election has to have a buzzword, and this year it's "change."

Yeah well, what happens when these motherfuckers declare a state of emergency and decide to withhold the elections so Bush can stomp on Iran? 8 more years? Don't think it couldn't happen. And your girl Hillary's husband hangs out with GW's dad. They're all evil, every one of them. And here we sit. I heard somebody say last week that they wish we could go back to GW's daddy, cuz he wasn't so bad. YES HE WAS. So was Reagan. So were most of these devils.

Ain't gonna be no change. I'm sorry y'all. We're too far gone. Give up all hope. Like me.

What has that got to do with Austin? Nothing really. What's it got to do with me? Nothing really either except this is the shit I think about, as I work diligently to get my shows together for this years South By Southwest. It's gonna be monstrous this year, you have no idea. Like I said it's my first year working full time in the office and I'm telling you, these 14 hour days are going to pay off. We've got acts coming in from around the world once again and some of your favorites from right here in this muthafucka. I'll be posting my list soon, but rest assured I am excited.

For it is exponentially going down.

There, I feel like I did something on AustinSurreal today.

NOW GO HERE AND LISTEN TO BAVU BLAKES LATEST WEEKLY FLEAUX "Wintertime."

Bavu says '08 is So Great. Maybe he's hoping for change as well. I don't know. I just hope he keeps coming with these flows cuz I like the real writers and shit. Boom Bye Bye to the Bullshit in '08. I suppose it's alright to have hope.
