I am DJing Kid's Music at 11 am at Art City Austin!
Come down and bring the kiddos!



For real, it's goin' down for the children tomorrow. My wife Melissa booked the Kid's Stage and I will be DJing childrens music of sorts from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Then tomorrow night of course for the adults, at the Scoot Inn.

But seriously, get up out the house and bring your kids to Art City. So much great stuff happening including a performance by BAVU BLAKES & THE EXTRA PLAIRS!!!

Hours: Saturday, 10am - 6pm & Sunday, 11am - 6pm

Location: Art City Austin 2009 will be held along Cesar Chavez Street from Colorado Street to Lamar, including the S. 1st Street Bridge. Entrances are located on Cesar Chavez at Guadalupe + Colorado + Lamar and the S. 1st Street Bridge (1st Street at Riverside).

Admission: Adults - $8.00 (one day) $15 (2-day Art Pass)
Children 12 and under - FREE
Art activites - $1.00 per activity.

FREE Shuttle - FREE Parking - Park for FREE in the One Texas Center Garage (S. 1st Street and Barton Springs Road). Take a FREE shuttle to Art City Austin from One Texas Center. Shuttles run approximately every 15 minutes. Come by boat, trail, or bike too!

Kid's Music Stage

SATURDAY
11 AM to 1 PM - DJ Matt Sonzala - Playing kids music and fun dance songs.

1 to 2:30 PM - Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts -ASPVA proudly presents their YouthCast Choice Award winners! Be prepared to be amazed by the talent of these young performers.

3:15 to 4:15 PM - AfterMath - Representing the Austin School of Music's Rock Camp, and voted one of Austin's Best Teen Bands in the Austin Chronicle, Aftermath is a youth based band with a rocking set for all ages.

SUNDAY
11 to 11:30 AM - OMG - Teen band playing classic hits for all ages.

12 to 1 PM - Carson McHone - 16-year-old singer-songwriter-chanteuse with a youthful appeal and a classic Texas Hill Country sound.

1:30 to- 2:45 PM Knights of Steel - 15 piece steel drum ensemble from McCallum High School's Fine Art's Music Program.

3:15 to 4 PM. - Chief Rival - One of Austin's top and most original Under-18 bands, Chief Rival's sparse, spaciness, mixed with a tendancy to rock, makes for a mezmirizing show for all ages.
